Blanche Isaacs Rominger

Blanche Isaacs Rominger, 95, of Wilburn Rominger Road, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 2, 2013, at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone.

Mrs. Rominger was born July 5, 1918, in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Noah Alvin Isaacs and Callie Stout Isaacs. She was a homemaker and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Mrs. Rominger is survived by five sons, Lewis Rominger and wife, Paula, of Freeport, Ohio, Ed Rominger and wife, Annie, of Salem, W.Va., Dean Rominger of Wiggins, Miss., Bob Rominger of Mountain City, Tenn., and Joe Rominger and wife, Beverly, of Newcomerstown, Ohio; four daughters, Madge Laws of Neva, Tenn., Ruth Rominger, Irene Woodard and husband, Oscar, and Esther Harmon and husband, Greer, all of Vilas. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 21 greatgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren, and several of her 78 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Rominger; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; nine sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services for Blanche Isaacs Rominger were conducted Sunday afternoon, Aug. 4, 2013, at Forest Grove Baptist Church. Officiating were Preacher Thomas Brown and the Rev. J.C. Greene. Burial followed in the Lower Beaver Dam Cemetery.
