Archibald 'Scotty' Clyde
Archibald "Scotty" Clyde, of Boone, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his son's home.
Mr. Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving 25 years and retiring as First Sergeant. He was a resident of Fayetteville, and a summer resident of Boone, where they attended Cool Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Margaret Clyde of the home; two sons, Robert Clyde of Fayetteville and David Clyde of Boone; four step-children, Ronald Pittman of Charleston, S.C., Mark Pittman of Fayetteville, Barbara Bagwell and husband, Greg, of Greenville, S.C., Randale Pittman and wife, June, of Wade. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Archibald "Scotty" Clyde was held Monday, October 8, 2012, at Cool Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Burl Greer officiating. Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 130.
