Adam D Galleher

Adam D. Galleher, 26, of Dewitt Barnett Road, Valle Crucis, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his home.

Adam graduated from Watauga High School in 2004. While in high school he was a member of the marching band, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout through Valle Crucis Troop 160 and served as an acolyte at Holy Cross Episcopal Church along with his siblings. Adam graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyo., in 2006.

Adam loved cars but also had a passion for music and performed regionally as a DJ. He worked as a carpenter with Michael Galleher Construction.

Adam is survived by his father and mother, Mike and Debbie Galleher of Valle Crucis; one sister, Ashley Galleher of Truckee, Calif.; one brother, Matt Galleher of Blowing Rock; his paternal grandparents, Davis and Dorothy Galleher of Hayward, Calif.; his maternal grandmother, Madge Drumm of Valle Crucis; his aunts and uncles, Judy and Ken Mullen of West Jefferson, Jim Galleher of Hayward, Calif., and Mike and Sandy Drumm of Pleasanton, Calif.; four cousins, Dan Mullen of Knoxville, Tenn., Tami McIntosh of Des Moines, Iowa, Ryan Drumm and Katelyn Drumm, both of Pleasanton, Calif., and his godparents, David and Barbara Miller of Union City, Calif.

Memorial services for Adam D. Galleher were conducted Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 8, 2013, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Valle Crucis. Officiating was Father Allan McCaslin.
