Wreck reported on U.S. 321 at Tweetsie

Rescue units responded to a head-on collision on U.S. 321
near Tweetsie Railroad at 10:44 a.m., according to radio transmissions.
At least three people appeared to be involved in the wreck, including one woman who is eight months pregnant, according to 911 communciations. First responders reported that she was conscious and alert.
A MedCenter Air helicopter was called to airlift at least one patient from the Watauga Medical Center.
All lanes of U.S. 321 were temporarily blocked to respond to the accident.
