Winston-Salem man arrested for drug violations

On June 13, deputies from the Watauga County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense on U.S. 421 at Toyota of Boone according to a release sent out by Watauga County Sheriff Len Hagaman.
According to the release, a roadside investigation was conducted which culminated in a K9 search of the vehicle. Deputies seized 73 grams of crack cocaine, 12 grams of marijuana, and 14 Xanax tablets.
Antwon Lee Randall Eldridge, 26, of 930 Patterson Ave., Winston-Salem, NC, was charged with trafficking in crack cocaine by possession, trafficking in crack cocaine by transport, possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and fictitious information to an officer.
Eldridge was arrested and taken to the Watauga County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 30.
