Local fans of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan on Tuesday were treated to a sneak peak inside one of the tour buses used by the Republican candidates on the campaign trail. Neither the presidential nor the vice presidential candidate was in Boone.

The bus pulled into the parking lot of Shops at Shadowline in Boone, the location of the Watauga County Republican Party headquarters, around 2:30 p.m.

A representative from the Romney campaign declined to comment, referring questions to a campaign coordinator.
