Update: Watauga schools closed Friday

Watauga County Schools will be closed for students and teachers
on Friday, Feb. 1.
The snow day program at Hardin Park will open at 7:30 a.m.
Two Rivers Community School also will be closed Friday.
Appalachian State University has canceled all classes that meet before 10 a.m. Friday.
The Watauga campus of Caldwell Community College will not open until noon Friday.
The Playmakers sketch comedy "Punchline" and "Meet Mr. WHS" event scheduled for Watauga High School on Friday have been postponed, according to schools spokesman Marshall Ashcraft.
The events will be rescheduled, and the new date will be posted on the WHS website as soon as possible.
