Two men charged with larceny
While officers were responding to the call, the suspect's vehicle was located and stopped near N.C. 105 and U.S. 321, according to a Boone Police Department.
As a result, Derrick Weaver, 48, of Newton was charged with four counts of misdemeanor larceny from Lowes Foods.
Derrick Weaver is alleged to have taken items from Lowes Foods on four separate occasions beginning in November 2013, according to the news release from Boone Police.
Derrick Weaver was placed under a $2,500 secured bond pending an April 28 appearance in Watauga District Court.
Thomas Edward Weaver, 46, of Hickory, was also arrested and charged with aiding and abetting misdemeanor larceny.
