Two charged with Walmart fraud
Timothy Allen Barker, 41, of U.S. 321 North, and Cathy Ann Richardson, 40, of U.S. 321 North were charged March 21 with obtaining property by false pretense, according to police.
Sgt. Shane Robbins said investigators believe the two were taking others' receipts, shoplifting the items listed, then going back to the store to return the products for cash.
Robbins said he wasn't certain how many times it occurred or the amount of money allegedly taken.
Barker and Richardson were both issued a $7,500 secured bond and are scheduled to appear in court April 23.
