Two airlifted after 4-wheeler wreck

A man and child were airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center
on Saturday after the 4-wheeler they were riding wrecked on U.S. 321 in Sugar Grove, according to
the N.C. Highway Patrol.
The two were riding a 2001 Kawasaki on the highway when a tire blew out and the 4-wheeler hit a guardrail near Guy Ford Road, according to Sgt. R.D. Smith of the N.C. Highway Patrol.
David Dugger, 49, of Sugar Grove, and his 8-year-old nephew, Dakota Jones, were both ejected from the vehicle, according to the accident report.
Both were airlifted from the scene to Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee, where they were in stable condition as of Monday morning, according to hospital spokeswoman Teresa Hicks.
Dugger's home address was listed as 841 Trivette Circle, less than a mile from the scene of the crash.
