Three arrested on drug charges

On April 22, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at 405 Holiday Hills Drive in Boone.
As a result, officers charged 22-year-old Paul Isaac Holmes and 20-year-old Anna Lynne Strain with possession of heroin, possession of MDMA (Ecstasy), maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance (suboxone) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff's office.
MDMA is a synthetic psychoactive drug that can produce feelings of increased energy or euphoria. Suboxone is a prescription drug commonly used to treat opiate addictions.
Sarah Renee Lafaille, 21, faces charges of possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of LSD, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to law enforcement.
The three were held at the Watauga Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court May 28.
