Offices for the town of Boone, town of Blowing Rock and Watauga County will be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.

The Watauga County Courthouse also will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Watauga County Sanitation Department and all trash container sites will be closed Thursday only and will reopen on a regular schedule Friday.

Watauga County Schools and Two Rivers Community School are closed for students Wednesday through Friday.

Most banks also will be closed Thanksgiving Day.
