Spice & Tea Exchange in Blowing Rock to hold grand opening ceremony
Blowing Rock's spicy addition is an independently owned and operated franchise, specializing in gourmet products and gifts.
"The Spice & Tea Exchange takes pride in providing an exploratory experience, where guests are encouraged to 'smell the spices' and discover their inner chef. In store, guests find an array of gourmet gifts and accessories to complement the product line of over 70 hand-mixed blends, 140 spices, 15 sugars, 24 salts, and more than 30 teas," a company spokesman said. The Spice & Tea Exchange officially opened its doors on Feb. 6.
Since then, the Blowing Rock community has welcomed The Spice & Tea Exchange with open arms, the spokesman said. Now, owners Andy and Gayle Barth are looking forward to formally celebrating their opening with their newfound friends and community.
"There has been a great deal of excitement about the product line our store has to offer by both residents and seasonal visitors," Andy Barth said.
On Thursday, May 22, The Spice & Tea Exchange will host a formal ribbon cutting at 4 p.m., followed by a champagne toast with a signature "spice & tea" champagne.
Throughout the weekend, the store will offer samples of gourmet products and highlight unique grilling blends such as Backwoods Hickory Rub, samplers, and gifts for Father's Day.
The Spice & Tea Exchange is located at 1087 Main St.
