Schools closed Friday

UPDATE: Watauga County Schools will be closed for students and teachers on
Friday, Jan. 25. The snow day program at Hardin Park will open at 7:30
a.m.

As of Thursday evening, Watauga County Schools Snow Line says schools will operate on a regular schedule Friday.
But with wintery weather on its way -- including possibly snow, sleet and freezing rain -- that may change.
Superintendent David Kafitz said the changing forecast will mean a final decision will likely be made early Friday morning.
"We're going to call this one as late as we can," he said.
