School board to hold work session Thursday
by Staff Reports
The Watauga County Board of Education will hold a work session at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Margaret E. Gragg Education Center on Pioneer Trail.
The primary purpose of the work session is to train board members on the new “eBOARDsolutions” program, an electronic system for managing board information and documents.
Superintendent David Kafitz said the complete meeting agenda is still being compiled, but it may include: information from the new technology director on the schools’ IT infrastructure, a discussion of proficiency benchmarks vs. the student growth model and a rundown of future strategic planning meetings, among other topics.
