The Watauga County Board of Education took no action following
a closed session meeting Tuesday evening.
The board met at 7 p.m. to discuss personnel and consult legal counsel, according to the agenda.
Chairman Lee Warren confirmed that no action was taken but did not comment on the content of the meeting.
"I really shouldn't say. We just can't discuss it," he said.
Board member Barbara Kinsey said the meeting dismissed after about two hours behind closed doors.
"I can't tell you anything, but there will be forthcoming news, I would assume," Kinsey said.
The board meets next for a budget work session at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Aside from that meeting, Warren said he did not believe the board would meet again before its regular meeting April 8.
