SUV overturns at Friendship Church Road

Two people escaped without major injuries after an SUV
overturned Wednesday on Friendship Church Road in Boone.
The white Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling up Friendship Church Road when it ran off the road and rolled onto Bamboo Road below around 3:15 p.m.
Watauga Medics checked two passengers inside the vehicle for injuries, although it wasn't certain whether they would need to be taken to the hospital.
Patches of ice were visible on the roads where the wreck occurred, although it wasn't clear whether road conditions were to blame for the accident.
