Public hearing Tuesday on county budget
The Watauga County Board of Commissioners will hold three public hearings Tuesday to seek input on important topics: the proposed county budget, the potential abolishment of the board of social services and the Department of Transportation's secondary roads program.
The regular meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Watauga County Administration Building at 814 W. King St. in Boone.
The public hearings are slated to begin at 6 p.m., with the budget first, the DSS board second and the roads program third. Each speaker will be limited to either two, three or five minutes, depending on the number of people who wish to address the board.
