Officers arrested two men on drug charges at about 5:30 p.m. Friday at Music on the Mountaintop, the two-day music festival held at the fairgrounds on Roby Greene Road.

Martin Taylor Jones, 27, of 7102 Beech Mountain Road, Elk Park, was charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, possession with intent to sell or distribute hash, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, said Capt. Al Reed of Watauga County Sheriff's office special operations unit.

 

Officers also arrested Seth Potts, 36, of Ernest Brown Road, Boone, after a foot chase. Potts was charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute a schedule IV controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, Reed said.

 

Reed said Friday he expected additional drug arrests would follow during the weekend.
