Motorcycle wreck sends one to hospital

A Virginia woman was transported to Watauga Medical Center after a motorcycle wreck at 1:18 p.m. Thursday.
Reda Sexton, 47, of Glade Spring, Va., was traveling southbound on N.C. 194 near the intersection of Bairds Creek Road in Sugar Grove when she lost control of a 2009 Suzuki street motorcycle.
Investigating trooper T. Hendrix said Sexton was traveling at a low rate of speed, dropped off the right side of the road and the motorcycle overturned as she attempted to steer back onto the highway. The motorcycle slid across the road and came to rest off the left side of N.C. 194.
Sexton was transported to Watauga Medical Center. Her condition is unknown as of 2:50 p.m.
