Investigation leads to suspects in drug related robbery

Boone Police responded to a report of threats at 683 Howard Street in Boone on Jan. 15.
Further investigation found that a
drug-related robbery had allegedly occurred according to a statement released
by the Boone Police Department.
That evening, Justin Kevin Anderson, 24, and Jason Conley Anderson, 20, both of 134 Beck Court in Boone, were charged with misdemeanor simple assault and misdemeanor communicating threats. Justin and Jason Anderson were released on $2,000 unsecured bonds and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.
According to the arrest reports, Justin and Jason Anderson threated and assaulted Joshua Carlton.
On Jan. 17, Jerome Michael Carlton, 21,
and Joshua Dan Carlton, 20, both of Lenoir, were charged with felony common law
robbery, felony conspiracy to commit common law robbery, and misdemeanor possession
of less than a half ounce of marijuana.
Both men were issued a $40,000 secured bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.
