Funeral set for Dara Watson

Funeral arrangements have been set for Watauga County native Dara Lee Watson.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Watson family cemetery in Banner Elk.
The Revs. Bud Russell, Harvey Presnell and Reggie Hunt will officiate.
The Watson family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
