Four men have been arrested and charged by Boone Police with Misdemeanor
Solicitation of Prostitution.
These arrests came as a result of a sting operation targeting the commercial sex trade utilizing local hotels.
On June 12, Boone Police utilized online advertisements
offering prostitution services.
In response to
these advertisements, the four men were arrested after meeting an undercover police officer and
agreeing to pay money in exchange for sexual services.
William Lowell Cable, 42, of Sugar Grove; Tamer Said Salem, 40, of Winston-Salem; Benjamin James Bell Wieland, 27, of Fleetwood; Todd Vincent Williams, 47, of Boone were arrested by Boone Police.
Each of the arrestees was assigned a $750 secured bond pending an August 1, appearance in Watauga County District Court.
The Lenoir Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted the Boone Police Department during this operation.
