Electric cart theft suspects arrested

Boone police have arrested two men on suspicion that they stole an electric cart from Walmart.
At about 4:30 p.m. Feb. 16, two men entered the store in Boone, both riding electric shopping carts. After shopping, one man parked his cart while the other drove his cart out of the store.
Both suspects loaded the cart into a silver station wagon and left the scene, according to police.
Police issued a Crimestoppers alert about the theft in February and received numerous tips about the suspects.
Police charged Branden Jamaal Stevens, 20, and Henry Frederick Nagle, 21, both of Horn Avenue, Boone, with misdemeanor larceny. Both were released with a written promise to appear in court. Stevens is scheduled to appear April 23 and Nagle on April 25.
The electric cart was recovered, according to police.
