Davis Special event moved to Mack Brown
by Staff Reports
The unveiling of the Davis Special roadster was moved from Watauga High School to Mack Brown Chevrolet dealership because of possible inclement weather.
The car, which was originally built in 1951 by the late Robert Davis, and more recently rebuilt by Garrett Van Camp, was to be shown at Watauga High School at 10 a.m. Saturday after being brought to Boone by Van Camp from Michigan.
But because of possible rain that is in the weather forecast for Saturday, the decision was made to move the event to Mack Brown's because the car has to be either under a tent or inside.
The event is still scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
