Crimestoppers seeks tips on mailbox explosion

High Country Crimestoppers is seeking information about a mailbox explosion in Boone.
A residential mailbox on Dogwood Road in Boone was destroyed around 12:30 a.m. Feb. 10 as the result of a small explosion, according to police. The explosive was likely a firework or another similar small device. No injuries were reported as a result of the vandalism.
Anyone with information on this crime or any other crime is asked to call Crimestoppers at (828) 268-6959 or (828) 737-0125 or the Boone Police Department at (828) 268-6900.
All information will be kept confidential, and Crimestoppers pays rewards for information that leads to arrests, recovery of stolen property, seizure of drugs or the location of wanted persons.
