County amends unofficial vote counts

The Watauga County Board of Elections submitted new unofficial
election results for Watauga County on Wednesday after correcting an error in Tuesday's
reports.
Elections Director Jane Hodges said it appears the Transfer Station 2 results were submitted twice on Tuesday.
"This correction does not result in any change in who the apparent winners were, or in the length of terms that they might receive," Hodges said.
In addition, 321 provisional ballots were cast on Election Day. The Watauga County Board of Elections will verify the validity of provisional ballots during the canvass on Friday, Nov. 16. Election results are not official until the Board of Elections certifies them at the canvass.
