Commissioners talk laptops, Sunday hunting

Watauga High School students are a step closer to getting laptops, thanks to a unanimous vote at Tuesday's Watauga County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Commissioners voted to allocate $1,804,909.52 to buy a laptop for each WHS student in 2011.
The winning bid was submitted by Computer Software Innovations, and the actual cost may be lower due to expected savings during the negotiation process.
"All in all, I think it's a great way to welcome our students into the 21st century," commissioner Tim Futrelle said.
