Closings, delays and cancellations

For Wednesday, Oct. 31:
— Watauga County Schools will be closed for students, and it will be an optional teacher workday with a two-hour delay for all personnel. The snow day program at Hardin Park will open at 7:30 a.m.
— Day classes at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute's Watauga campus have been cancelled.
— Town of Boone offices will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
— Classes at Appalachian State University will meet as scheduled.
