The Boone Water Use Committee will meet March 28 at 5 p.m. at the Council Chambers on Blowing Rock Road.

The committee is scheduled to discuss the expiration of the town's water ordinance, the permit status for the raw water intake project and "anticipated legislative action concerning (the) proposed New River intake," according to the meeting agenda.

N.C. Rep. Jonathan Jordan of Jefferson said on Friday that he is not aware of any legislation related to Boone's water intake project.
