Boone police nab break-in suspects

The Boone Police Department Investigation Division has arrested
two men on felony larceny charges.
Stephen Wood, 21, of Boone, and Dakota Canter, 22, of Boone, were charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen property.
Police believe that Wood and Canter entered an apartment in the 900 block of West King Street on Aug. 26 and stole several items, including a Fender bass guitar, a DVD player and a Canon digital camera.
Wood was held at the Watauga Detention Center in lieu of a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5. Canter was held at the Watauga Detention Center in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond and is also scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5.
