Timothy Michael Swinney-Taylor of 387 Sugarloaf Road, Boone, was served a warrant for two counts of felony first-degree sex offense on a child and four counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, according to an arrest report from the Watauga County Sheriff's Office.
Capt. Dee Dee Rominger said the child was not a stranger to Swinney-Taylor and that the alleged crimes occurred during the summer months of this year. Court documents state that the incidents may have gone back even farther, reportedly occurring between Jan. 1, 2011 and July 1, 2012.
The court documents also list a different address for Swinney-Taylor on Tater Hill Estates Drive in Boone.
Swinney-Taylor was held at the Watauga Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 25, 2013. Rominger said he was still in jail as of Wednesday.
