Boone council to address committees

The Town of Boone may dissolve a few committees and fill up slots on others.
The Boone Town Council meets March 16 and 18, with four committees up for disbanding, including one that dealt with downtown vagrancy. The council will also hear an update from the parking task force, consider revisions to the ordinance that controls new water-connection allocations, and consider appointments on nine different town boards or committees.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers on Blowing Rock Road. The agenda is online at
