Body found in S.C. forest
by Kellen Moore
Search teams found a body Friday morning in the Francis Marion National Forest and have suspended the search for missing Watauga County native Dara Lee Watson, said Capt. Stan Gragg of the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
The body has not yet been identified. Gragg would not say whether it was a man or woman or whether it had any visible signs of injury.
Gragg said the body was located near where Watson's vehicle was found burned off Halfway Creek Road on Feb. 7.
Watson, 30, was last seen leaving Boone on Feb. 6 with her fiance, 34-year-old David Hedrick, who died last week of what police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
