by Staff Reports
Appalachian State University student Kaleb Rierson, 22, died Friday in a car accident in Cameron, the university announced Tuesday.
"He liked his friends loyal, his opponents pinned, his lakes blue, his mountains tall, his bourbon straight, his Steelers strong, his country free, his family close and his mother any way she pleased," read his obituary.
A visitation will be held at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines on Tuesday evening, with a funeral planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fort Bragg's JFK Chapel.
Rierson is to be buried in the Fort Bragg Cemetery in the company of his father, who died when he was 2, the obituary states.
Appalachian State University will place a memorial book in the Plemmons Student Union at noon Wednesday to be sent to Rierson's family as an expression of care and concern.
