A scary good time
by Kellen Short
King Street merchants opened their doors to the sweet-toothed revelers for trick-or-treating following an afternoon of crafts and activities as the Watauga County Library.
The sugar-rush enablers included Bob Snead, owner of Dancing Moon, who dressed as a wizard for the 15th year to greet his guests.
"I'm really a wizard," Snead said. "I just thought I'd stand out today and give out candy."
Even babies and pets got into the spirit, clad in costumes ranging from sweet to frightful.
