HCCF thank you

On behalf of all family and kinship caregivers in Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties, the High Country Caregiver Foundation would like to thank the community, including all those who participated, sponsored, volunteered or donated to Casa Rustica's seventh Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Special thanks to event organizers, Rick and Liz Pedroni of Casa Rustica Restaurant, for selecting the High Country Caregiver Foundation to benefit again from this year's proceeds. Despite the cooler than normal temperatures, the sold-out event proved to be a funfilled day with competitive play, fabulous food, lively spirits and wonderful raffle items.   HCCF is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization of men and women incorporated in 2007. Our goal is to raise awareness about caregiving issues through community education and networking and to improve the quality of life for family caregivers and those they care for. Programs and services include High Country Relatives as Parents Program, Day Break at Deerfield, Respite Voucher Program, monthly support groups and ongoing community education and outreach.
