On behalf of the Boone Area Cyclists, I would like to thank the community and out-of-town guests for coming downtown on June 24 for the second annual Cyclo.Via event sponsored by the BAC. A special thank you to all who helped make this event happen: the Town of Boone and Boone Police, Appalachian State University, the Watauga County Tourism Development Authority, Take Step Two: Appalachian District, all the local business and not-for-profits, and the BAC member volunteers. We had a big turnout, excellent weather, and lots of bike riding, skating and walking. It was nice to see so many smiling faces all day long.
