The various so-called growth regulators who approve commercial developments such as the gigantic student-housing project off Poplar Grove Road, the one across from it on Highway 105 and the monstrosity above Walmart apparently are willing to sacrifice the quality of life in Watauga County to the god of money.

Keep leveling our beautiful mountains, all of you capitalists. They won’t grow back again.
