Woody Durham to return to BRAHM
by Kellen Moore
Longtime Tar Heels radio announcer Woody Durham will return to the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum next week to sign his latest book.
Often known as the “Voice of the Tar Heels,” Durham provided the play-by-play for avid fans during more than 1,800 UNC-Chapel Hill basketball and football games between 1971 and 2011.
Durham visited the museum in February and shared stories about his 40-year career.
On this second visit, Durham will sign copies of his book, “Woody Durham: A Tar Heel Voice,” written with Adam Lucas.
The book chronicles both Durham’s personal successes in broadcasting and the talented athletes he covered.
The book-signing will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum.
