Spring revival offers opportunity for renewal

by Sherrie Norris

An upcoming spring revival is expected to provide the perfect setting for a successful, life-changing event, especially for the area's young people.

That's the hope of local pastor Chad Cole, who, with his church, Beech Valley Baptist, is hosting the inaugural revival, scheduled for April 21-23.

The three-day event will be held at the Bethel Elementary School gymnasium in Bethel and will begin on the Monday following Easter and conclude on Wednesday evening.

It's a great way to spend part of spring break from school, with fellowship and snacks kicking off each evening at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 7 p.m. service, and more snacks afterward,  Cole said.

It is Cole's desire that all area young people will plan to join with their friends, and encourage their peers to be a part of this time of renewal and revival.

Guest speaker for the revival will be the Rev. Bill Conrad of Rock of Ages Ministries.

Arrangements for transportation to and from the revival may be made by calling (828) 297-7343.

Assistance from any church or community groups to help provide refreshments for the event will be most appreciated, Cole said.
