Smith Gallery presents Boundless: BFA Senior Studio Exhibition

The exhibit includes work by candidates for the bachelor of fine arts degree in studio art. Their pieces represent a variety of studio techniques, including photography, fibers, metals, installation, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and painting.
Work by students Cat Boyte, Andrew David Cox, William Hendrix, Laurie Kirkpatrick, Mary Shannon Marshall, Gena Murfin, Maria Perry, Sara Lynn Zagar will be exhibited in Smith Gallery. Andrew David Cox's exhibition will be on view at Looking Glass Gallery in Plemmons Student Union on campus.
A closing reception will be held at the gallery from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m May 10. A reception for Cox's exhibition will also be held, from noon to 1 p.m May 10. at Looking Glass Gallery. The public is invited to attend.
For the past year, the students have worked with Jeana Eve Klein, associate professor in the Department of Art. "The students participating in the exhibition selected an appropriate title for their show," Klein said. "This group has boundless energy, boundless enthusiasm, boundless potential and boundless materials through which they communicate their conceptual ideas. They have worked incredibly hard over the last year, and it is exciting and gratifying to see the results of that hard work come to fruition in this exhibition."

Looking Glass Gallery is located on the first floor of Plemmons Student Union. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
