SVP/CFO announced at Blue Ridge Electric

Katie Woodle has been named senior vice president and
chief financial officer for Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation, a
member-owned electric cooperative serving some 74,000 consumers in northwest
North Carolina with its corporate headquarters in Lenoir.
Woodle, a native of Alleghany County, has served as chief
financial officer of Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta since 2006. Before
that, she worked for six years in the accounting department at Alleghany
Memorial. Woodle also completed an internship at Ernst and Young, LLP.
Woodle’s responsibilities at Blue Ridge Electric will also
include serving as CFO for the cooperative’s subsidiaries: Blue Ridge Energies,
a heating fuels and propane provider with product showrooms in each Blue Ridge
Electric district office, and RidgeLink, a business-to-business provider of
fiber optic network capacity.
Woodle holds a master’s degree in accounting and a
bachelor’s degree in business administration from Appalachian State University.
She is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina.
Woodle will begin her duties at Blue Ridge Electric on October 22.
