Mast General Store Annex in Valle Crucis will host "Punkin Fest" on Oct. 26 to benefit Western Youth Network.
The free, family-friendly event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4

popcorn and live music. Children and adults can enjoy games such as sack races,
go fish, bowling, hoop-la and potato gun target shooting.
Western Youth Network is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985 that works to help youth reach their potential and discover their place in the community. The organization provides prevention and intervention programs such as substance abuse prevention, after school, mentoring and summer day camps to more than 2,300 young people and their families each year.
The organization serves Watauga, Avery, Ashe, Wilkes, Alleghany and Mitchell counties.
"We are incredibly grateful to Mast General Store Annex for hosting such a wonderful event that will benefit so many youth and families in the High Country," said Faith Motter, director of development. "Punkin Fest 2013 is guaranteed to be a fun fall day for all!"
