Poster winners recognized

Hardin Park Elementary School second-grader Gwendolyn Anderson receives a certificate from Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson and Boone Public Utilities Director Rick Miller for first place in the eight annual 'Every Drop Counts' poster contest. Poster winners were recognized at the May 21 Boone Town Council meeting. 


The town of Boone coordinates the program each year to promote water conservation and protection in conjunction with National Drinking Water Week. This year, five classes from Two Rivers Community School and Hardin Park Elementary participated in the contest.


Winning second place was Zea Joy Marty of Two Rivers, third place was Zoey Albert of Two Rivers and an honorable mention went to Charlize Bowen of Two Rivers.
