Boone Moose Lodge 1805  presented a check for $3,000 to High Country Hospice for its work in Watauga and Avery counties. The Moose Riders raised the money during a Poker Run Sept. 15, which left Boone and traveled to Moose lodges in North Wilkesboro, Riverside and Lenoir and then back. Food was supplied by Carolina Barbeque, and Dave Presnell and Melissa Reaves performed.
