Franklin Graham requests prayers for father
by Staff Reports
Graham told reporters last week that his father had "declined quite a bit," and he wasn't sure whether the elder Graham was aware that Nelson Mandela had died.
"He hasn't been able to get his strength back," Graham told WSOC. "Vitals are good, he's just weak and at home."
In a post Tuesday on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association website, Franklin Graham asked for prayers for strength for his father.
"Our family would appreciate your prayers for him that the Lord would strengthen him," the post stated. "He has been so encouraged by the release of his most recent book 'The Reason for My Hope -- Salvation' that he immediately began work on another book about a subject that he feels that God has laid on his heart. Only the Lord knows what is in store as we move forward in service to Him."
