Dan Minor joins Charleston Forge operation as vice president of sales
Minor's responsibilities include overseeing the company's sales representatives in the retail and design arenas.
A native of Pittsburg, Pa., Minor has worked in the furniture industry since 1995.
He was vice president of sales for Top 100 retailer, Boyles Furniture, and has also served as national sales manager for HFi Brands Inc. and Southwood Furniture.
"I have worked with Charleston Forge product since entering the retail side of the industry," Minor said. "The ability to produce such high-quality furniture is a testament to the craftsmen who proudly work there. The company also has the unique ability to create a truly customized product to the specifications of their customers -- setting themselves them apart in the industry."
"We're excited to have Dan aboard," said Charleston Forge president Rick Grant. "We have a well-deserved reputation as a manufacturer of high quality furniture, and Dan is going to be a great asset in expanding the reach of our sales force. We make great furniture right here in North Carolina - our biggest challenge is getting the word out to retailers, designers and specifiers - to educate them about who we are and what we do."
All of Charleston Forge's products are built at the Boone plant.
The family-owned company, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, prides itself on building American-made furniture and that the majority of its suppliers are also located in North Carolina, officials said.
