Casting Bread Food Pantry receives $2,500 from Food Lion
"Wow, this is such a wonderful surprise. God has continually blessed our endeavor," Susan Stutts, director of Casting Bread, said.
This grant money will go far in providing food for those in need and will also aid our organization in the maintenance and upkeep of our freezers and other equipment, she said. Our mission statement is to "Show the love of Jesus Christ as we provide food for families in need and provide referrals for additional support as needed."
Established in 2001, the Food Lion Charitable Foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding the hungry in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $9 million in grants.
