BRAHM exhibit now at beach
For the first time, the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum is loaning an entire exhibit to another cultural institution, the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington.
"Art Among Friends," comprised of American impressionist paintings from four High Country collectors, has now opened at the Cameron Art Museum and will be exhibited until Feb. 16,2014.
Between its premiere in May and the closing at BRAHM in November, visitors from 89 North Carolina cities, 27 states and three countries (Canada, England and Italy) visited the exhibit.
"We're thrilled that these beautiful pieces of art will reach a new audience and are happy to have a strong relationship with our museum colleagues on the coast," said Allyson Teague, exhibits manager at BRAHM.
Although "Art Among Friend's" has temporarily found a new home at the beach, the exhibit catalog will still be available for purchase at the museum gift shop, located at 159 Chestnut St. For additional information, contact (828) 295-9099.
